Adam was robbed!

I have NEVER watched an entire season of American Idol until this season and it was all because of Adam Lambert. 2009 has been a difficult year and waaay too much reality all around.

For some reason Adam Lambert dragged me back to the 80's every time he was on stage. The fabulous 80's... when I was a teenager, all was right in my little world, and I listened to the Clash, Bowie, Duran Duran, Tears for Fears, Icicle Works, Dramarama, Bau Haus, Kajagoogoo, and on and on....

I'm sure Kris Allen is a nice guy and can sing ok, but he makes me feel too much in the present... And when I'm watching friends and family struggling so much in this economy I just don't want to watch a guy that drags me back here kicking and screaming. I want to go back sometimes... Even for just an hour.

Thank you Adam for bringing me back to an easier time every week and making me smile even when there were few reasons to.

To quote Cinderella... "We all need a little shelter".
