Ace of Cakes

I am completely addicted to the tv show Ace of Cakes!

My family and I even took up cake making and playing with fondant. We are no where near as good as the Charm City Cakes people, but spending half a day working together as a family, making a fancy cake, is about as good as life gets.

We've made a jack o lantern, a pretty good replica of my daughters cat Tiki, and a Kentucky Derby hat cake (with all sorts of stuff on it, just like the real thing). This weekend we are going to tackle making a Noah's Ark cake. I'll post some pics of it when we're done.

Oh, and if you've never heard of Charm City Cakes, make sure to check them out on the Food Network. Their show is called "Ace of Cakes" and the artists working there are incredibly talented. And funny too!
